In 1924 Eileen Gray and Badovici began work on the house E-1027 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in southern France (near Monaco).
She designed in 1927 this coffee table (originally designed to enable one of her sisters to indulge her love of eating breakfast in bed). Her circular glass E-1027 table was inspired by the recent tubular steel experiments of Marcel Breuer at the Bauhaus.
Chrome plated steel frame. Hardened glass top and adjustable height.
